What Conditions are typically Covered?
Coverage varies by plan, but most insurance policies include acupuncture for:
• Pain syndromes involving the joints or surrounding soft tissues
• Neck & Shoulder pain
• Chronic Low Back pain
• Hip, Knee, or other joint pain
• Headaches and Migraines
• Abdominal pain

In some cases, coverage may also extend to conditions considered “medically necessary” with a referral from your primary care provider.
HSA & FSA Payments Accepted
Yes! We accept HSA (Health Savings Accounts) and FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) for acupuncture services.
• Acupuncture is an approved medical expense for HSA/FSA funds.
• We can provide proof of payment with procedure & diagnosis codes for reimbursement.
• Use any remaining HSA/FSA funds before they expire at the end of the year!

Do I need a referral?
Some insurance plans (like Kaiser or HMO plans) may require a referral. We’ll let you know if yours does once we verify your benefits.
What if my plan is out-of-network?
You can still come in. Your visit will simply be billed at the private self-pay rate, and we’ll provide a superbill so you can request possible reimbursement directly from your insurance provider.
How long does insurance verification take?
Usually 1–2 business days. We’ll email or text you once your benefits are confirmed.
Can I still get acupuncture if my plan doesn’t cover it?
Absolutely. Private-pay sessions are always available, and we offer seasonal discounts, package options, affordable ear acupuncture, and sliding scale options to keep your care accessible.

Cupping and manual therapy aren’t typically covered by insurance.
